The KLS-1G has a solid mahogany top so that the uke resonates beautifully. The long neck gives the uke 18 frets which is concert scale. The tone is rich, and complex, with great string-to-string articulation, especially when finger-picked. It is also super light, which helps to contribute to the beautiful tone. With ebony fingerboard and bridge and added Gotoh UPT 4:1 gear ratio tuners which are incredibly smooth and easy to use, the uke is well worth the money.
