All the way from 1978, this is a Gibson G3 Bass!
You may be familiar with a Gibson 'Grabber' Bass, which is maybe the more often seen version of these basses - the G3 stands for 'Grabber 3', due to the triple pickup configuration known as 'a-buck-and-a-half' due to it being three single coils and it's wiring!
Electronically, this bass was wired to give as large a range of tones as possible.
When the three-way switch is up, the neck and middle pickups are together and act as a humbucker, similarly when the switch is down the bridge and middle act the same.
When the switch is in the middle position, all pickups are activated, giving a full, balanced tone that works well in many situations.
The bass has been well looked after in it's years, showing little to no wear, apart from some minor wear on the back of the body and a few little marks that it's picked up in it's time - even with that it would be difficult to find another in as good a condition as this one!
The bass has been newly set up, and is playing well with no issue.
Comes with original Gibson branded hard case.
