Charlie Christian Art Deco Makeover

Fancy something different? Listen up all you Nils Cline fans….Here we’re fitting the amazing looking Charlie Christian style pickup into a Jaguar. I’m also going to replace the bridge pickup for something with a little more power in the bridge position. The CC pickup is obviously a larger size but it’s also a fair bit deeper…so here I rout the neck pickup cavity to accept the pickup being careful not to damage the wire harness which runs under this pickup to the upper rhythm control plate. Pickup height adjustment wasn’t straightforward either so I came up with a clever way to accomplish that. Things were tight in there. The pickup sounds a bit like a P90…but it looks like nothing else.
